So, okay, I’ve been looking for a song. It’s nothing I’ve heard before—at least, I don’t think it should be. But it should be this, electricity, this blink and recognition-hey, you! Something, unexpected, you know? Like looking through the boxes in your childhood bedroom and finding this folded piece of paper you smooth out to discover: shouting bright colors and lines with a wild conviction. Like you absolutely have to be dancing in shiny black stiletto platforms. Like glitterati and small rooms with dark walls and blinding lights. Like the way your heart leaps when you hear the mention of a certain name, and how you wish your nails sparkled and your lashes looked fake. Like how despite it all, you wanted to sing along.
